CATalyst

Christina Gardner

Christina brings to CATalyst skills in program coordination, marketing and event management, developed during her employment in a Baltimore City non-profit organization. In that position, she used these skills to foster community engagement and generate support for an urban park. Previously, she worked as assistant to a County Councilperson where she honed her skills in creative problem solving.

Christina grew up with cats as pets and knows the joys and challenges of feline companions. While working at the park, she frequently came into contact with feral cats that populated the area. While it wasn’t the mission if her organization to work with animals, Christina and the other animal lovers in the office periodically took feral kittens to the vet and fostered them for a short time to acclimate them to life with humans before putting them up for adoption through a nonprofit.

Christina is quickly learning the severity of the problems facing American cats as a result of working with the CATalyst team. She is excited to be a part of an organization that promotes cat ownership and is helping to educate people about proper cat care.
